There is only one direct international flight to Nizhny Novgorod: Lufthansa flight via Frankfurt (arrival in Nizhny Novgorod at 15.50 every Monday, Wednesday and Friday).

The return flight (departures to Frankfurt at the same dates at 17.00).

International flights via Moscow (Sheremetevo II Airport or Domodedovo Airport) are also possible (and much more cheaper). This option is a flight to Moscow and then transfer to Nizhny Novgorod:

by air (daily domestic flight SU 717 from Sheremetevo I Airport, departure at 21.10, arrival at 22.20) or

by daily night trains (departures at about 22.00-24.00, arrivals at about 7.00 next day, the cost of a train ticket is about 30$). Please, note that the Nizhny Novgorod railway station is called Gorky.
