Vladimir Ivanovich Shvetsov was born on 21.10.1948. Director of Nizhni Novgorod regional centre for university informatization. Head of Volgo-Vyatsky regional centre of new information technologies. Scientific supervisor of the laboratory of programme systems. Candidate of Sciences (Engineering) (1978).
Graduated from the Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics of Gorky State University in 1971 specializing in Mathematics. Completed a postgraduate course at the Central Economico-Mathematical Institute of the USSR Academy of Sciences. The topic of his Cand.Sc. dissertation is "The problems of information processing and extremal situations", 1979 (Institute of control problems (automation and telemechanics) of the USSR Academy of Sciences.
Area of scientific interests: design and development of databases, development of software tools for data processing for concrete classes of problems.
