Yuri Sorokin was born in 1946. He graduated from the Faculty of Radiophysics of the Gorky State University in 1969 specializing in radiophysics and electronics. The field of his scientific interests includes electrodynamics of moving and non-stationary media, thermal self-influence of optical bunches, physics of optical discharges in aerosols, diagnostics of aerosols. The topic of his thesis for D.Sc.degree that he earned in 1990 was "Low-threshold collective interaction of optical bunches with moving and non-uniform media". |
